S did fabulous yesterday at her ear tube surgery. These pics are before they took her back. As you can see, she wasn't a bit scared or worried. No Versed was needed, as she went back like a pro.
After surgery, she woke up in her "normal" post anesthesia fashion...MAD!! Fighting mad as the nurse was quite surprised as to how strong she is. I tried to warn the nurse that she wakes up in fight or flight mode, she laughed it off and said that all patients wake up a bit upset. Lol, well she saw first hand my little one go into survival mode. Needless to say, once S got her senses back, she calmed down and was fine. It only took a few minutes of thrashing and fighting to get her mind back. My girl is truly a fighter and survivor, and her instincts come out full force after surgeries.
S went back to school today all smiles:). Plus she has already commented on how loud everything seems now. Guess that means they already working, yay!
