Highlights from Each

Yesterday I asked all my people what their favorite thing/memory was on vacation.  Let's start with the littlest one...

E said her favorite thing was the magic show and going to the park with the ducks.   Funny how the simplest/free thing like going to a park left such an impression in her mind.  (Definite note/reminder to this over scheduling-entertaining-money spending-mom;)

F's favorite of course was getting her long awaited tattoo (oh my am I in trouble in a few years to keep her from doing the real deal)!  She also said that she liked the Alpine Coaster rides. So surprising as she is usually the first one to pipe up and say that she doesn't want to ride anything.  Her first trip down was with Sabryn which I am sure was quite a bit slower than her second ride down with G.  Apparently both were fun and she loved the experience which is a big deal in this sensory processing disorder child.

S favorites were the big magic show and going shopping in Gatlinburg.  S is a big shopper and she just loves browsing around looking at all the different stuff in the little shops.  She bought herself a new sweatshirt this time around.  So funny as the last time she bought one was also in Gatlinburg.  Guess they are only made good enough for her in Gatlinburg.

T wasn't with us on our trip this year.  He went to Dauphin Island in Alabama to the beach with a friend.  I only received a couple of pics from my teenager of course, but from the looks of it, he had a great time.  He said it was really nice and that he had a lot of fun.  He even came back with a nice tan after just a week in the sun.

Sabryn's favorite event from the week was the Alpine Coaster.  She said it was super cool and a lot of fun.  She and C went down together on the second run, so I am certain they went super fast all the way from hearing the screams from S for C to slow down lol.

C claims his favorite activity from Spring Break was his fishing tournament where they placed 17th out of 186 boats on Saturday!  It was another State qualifier, so he is very happy about that.  No mention of our vacay together as all he ever thinks about is fishing...ack.

G's comment on his favorite thing from the week was beating me at putt putt golf...what?!?  That in itself should give you some insight into our unique relationship LOL ;)

For me, well...I simply enjoyed spending time with all the people I love dearly!! Soaking in life together, doing new things together, experiencing different sights and sounds together, making each other laugh together, and mainly simply making memories together.  I hope and pray that all my kids know how much I love them and enjoy being their mom.  I know that G and I are just starting out with our new life experiences as a 'family' and I hope that these early memories are great ones that we   will be able to share for a lifetime to come.

So just want to send out a big thank you to all my people who made this Spring Break a very happy one indeed :)

Ahhhh Spaaaa

The girls and I did sneak off one day (G's only 2 hour reprieve from us the whole week...poor guy!) to get our nails done at a local salon in Pigeon Forge.  As you can see, all smiles from my spoiled girlies:)

Final Show

Our final show was the Smoky Mountain Opry show that had lots of lights, props, singing, dancing, fire, water, and even ended with some fireworks!  Big production all around.  It was entertaining and girls had nachos and popcorn so hard not to like lol :)

Fantastic Magic

The big magic show was our "surprise" find for the week.  It was FANTASTIC!!  Highly recommend you go see it when you are there.  For a 3pm show, I expected just a kid show with some cheesy tricks.  Boy was I wrong.  This guy was an incredible all around entertainer indeed.  Las Vegas style show that was super fun and entertaining the whole time.  We all enjoyed it very much!!

Gone Too Soon

Scott's sister, Tabby, has gone to be with Jesus way too soon for her family to take in :( Praying for the whole family today as they lay her broken 48 year old body to final rest. Hoping the comfort of knowing she trusted in Jesus and will live on forever pain free will be sufficient in their sadness...

Busy Day

Ventured over to the big Christmas store and lingered a bit at the nice park behind it.  Watched a bunch of baby ducklings and the girls simply played in the rocks.  We had lunch at Cracker Barrel per S request all week.  F fell in love with the little game you play at the table.  So much so that we bought one and brought it home!

Showtime :)

We had tickets for the show Country Tonite.  It as pretty good, lots of different eras of country music indeed.  The girls were more fascinated by the funny Meemaw character whom they said looked just like their Nana HAHAHAHA!  Late night but enjoyed it very much :)
