ROTC Day

Boys had their annual ROTC inspection today. They look so grown up in their uniforms...eek!! Proud of these two indeed :)

Year of Patience

God has placed the simple word 'patience' on my heart heavy this year.  On numerous occasions I hear "PATIENCE my dear" when it has come to several aspects of my life right now.  So what does one like me do when I hear something from God over and over again, do I simply listen and wait?!? UM NO…I research!  I've started digging into what patience is and what it isn't.  Different meanings and different takes on what it means to be patient.  I have come across several interesting things lately.  I will probably share a few on the blog throughout this Year of Patience :)  Here is one from today:

Patience: Learning to under-react, learning to pause, to consider your words and to remember not to believe everything you think.

I am fully aware that patience is not something that comes naturally to me.  I am learning and stretching and growing in this area indeed.  Slowing down a bit and processing things differently these days...experiencing some patience:)

Weekend Warriors

A little peek into our weekend...

Spent Friday night fireside at Lori's, discovered that T unfortunately did not make the lacrosse team (BOO), S had to be picked up at 1am due to allergic reaction at her friend's sleepover (hence the sleeping in the shopping cart), discovered my dream trash can (weird I know-who has a dream trash can HA!), indulged in some fabulous Bundt cakes on Saturday, dinner at house with G Sat night, church/lunch w/G as usual on Sunday am, then took T for some driving practice Sunday afternoon, oh and then spent rest of the day on the couch as I seemed to have picked up a yucky cold.  SO...there you go, weekend in a sentence haha.

Karate Kids

F and E tried out an intro karate class that they loved! Well they were skeptical at first but did great for the whole class. They went just as a guest with their friend, but both had fun!!

Ice to Icecream

Snowy on Tuesday and sunny in Sunday...that's Atlanta weather for you! Out and about enjoying my people :)

Fireside

My teens helped on the yard this weekend so we ended the busy day fireside! Spent some time with these ever growing boys of mine and their friends next to a fire in the back yard. Enjoyed hanging with them even if they did choose to play crappy music lol.

Good Morning

Birthdays Galore

Seems there's a birthday party to be had quite often these days with our combined crew lol. We celebrated Matthew's Big 27!! Fun night with the "big kids" at G's house :)

Saturday Funday

Lori and I and our never ending adventures had us at the Square yesterday. Then crazy head suggested Petland...she is nuts lol! Needless to say the girls were happy! Lunch with my favorites as well always makes for an exciting Saturday :)

Another Snow Day...

The kids haven't had a full week of school since November!!!  There is a reason I don't homeschool.  GO BACK TO SCHOOL lol
