Waffle Night

My kids absolutely love love love the W@ffle House. I am certain they got that from their Nana! I am not a big fan of the house with the "interesting" clientele, but CJ and the kids love it. I guess I shouldn't complain too much since everyone does eat well there, yes even my picky F does.

I took a picture of their new fancy jukebox. Is that what they are still even called?!? The kids loved to pick out their favorite tunes just like I did when I was a kid. I remember begging for quarters from my own mom and dad when we would enter the Waffle H0use so so many years ago-lol.

Guess not much has changed, except for now the kids come begging for DOLLARS. Oh and my family takes up TWO booths now instead of one :). Fun night out with my sweet little family, even if it was dinner at the old WH!!

Just Keep Swimming

Swimming swimming! The kids are really enjoying having their own pool right in the back yard. After dinner, we sneak out into the back yard for an evening dip ;).

My boys are certainly two peas in a pod when it comes to entertaining each other. They broke out the 4-wheelers last night and enjoyed just being boys on toys with loud motors ;)

Party Palooza

 

We had a fantabulous time at two birthday parties this weekend. The girls partied to their hearts content. Happy Birthday to two sweet little Marys :)

MU Adventure

We don't venture out to a new release very often, so it was a special outing today. Had fun and everyone stayed awake during the whole show:). Happy Saturday!!

 

Beach Day

We ventured out to the beach on a rain-sun-cloudy-sunny-rainy day. Squeezed in a couple of hours of good weather. The girls love going to this little lake beach. The boys have fun too, but run off when they see me with the iPhone camera out-lol. Don't worry, they were there as were a couple of their friends. I sure get a lot of use out of our big van during summer months.

Ouch

T did a face plant in the street today off his bike...OUCH. Expecting a couple of black eyes in the morning to go with his injuries.

Don't feel too sorry for him since he was popping wheelies with no shirt or helmet on. Sometimes life's natural consequences are the best way to cure little dare devils. I know I am not a very sympathetic mom in moments like these-lol. It does look like it hurts a lot...Ouch!

Graduates

 

The girls can officially swim! They finished up their swimming lessons this week. We have done tons of practicing in the pool at home. I feel pretty good about the girls being able to get themselves out of the pool in case of an accidental fall. Of course we will keep practicing, happy they have picked it up so quickly. Just keep swimming...

Baby Day

 

We got to hang out with some babies today. Sheila hung out with us at the lake with the twins. Then we came home for a visit with baby Jake. Lots of fun playing with babies today! Makes me want another one. Ha just kiddin mom;)

Daddy's Day

Got to spend Fathers Day with two of the best daddys In the world! I feel very blessed to have such hard working, dedicated, and caring men in my life and especially in my children's lives. A special day for celebrating Daddy :)

Work Day

 

Spent the better part of the day doing clean up from the storm. The kids all pitched in moving debris. My dad and CJ finished my amazing deck. And I threw old lots of spoiled food from our 28 hour power outage, cleaned the fridge, and shopped for replenishment!

Don't worry we didn't work all day. We all made our way into the pool before days end :)

Wind, Rain, and Hail

 

 

 

 

Oh MY! Storms passed through the area last night. Fortunately no major damage was incurred. Me and 8 kids waited out the storm in a parking lot in the big van, as we were traveling home from white water. I pulled over and stopped when the winds got insane.

It was quite scary with the van swaying and seeing all the wind and rain and hail from inside the van. I made sure all the kids were buckled up tight and no one freaked out or even cried the whole scary 30 minutes. Thank goodness no one was hurt.

Fortunately, the pool survived without an damage! We lost some outdoor furniture and a tree. The trampoline was picked up and moved about 200 feet to the back of the yard. It suffered damage, but may be salvageable. The house has been without power now for about 17 hours...ugh.

Again, just thankful everyone is Ok!! Praise God for that!

Time to Enjoy

The pool and deck are complete, so time for fun!! Enjoyed having a few friends over tonight to just kick back and relax in our new big toy. Lots of smiles all around :)

Ashlee Rocks

I just love all the cute hair dos that Ashlee does on the girls when she is babysitting. Adorableness!
