C and T spent the weekend away on their own adventures. They did the Passport 2 Purity weekend (see below). Getting to spend one on one time together makes for a great weekend In itself, but add on some meaningful conversations and you have a huge WIN! They had a great time together.
Passport2Purity® by Dennis and Barbara Rainey is a kit with CD's and other materials designed to guide a parent and preteen child in heart-to-heart communication about issues such as sex, purity, peer pressure, and dating. The Raineys suggest that the material be used during a weekend getaway, with fathers taking sons and mothers taking daughters. A goal of the parent/child weekend is to discuss crucial issues and help the child make decisions in advance as to how they will face the turbulent teen years.
