Disruption Information

I find myself getting more and more calls from families asking about disruptions.  Adoption disruptions have always been around, but they have always been taboo to talk about.  They usually would just happen "behind closed doors" and the original family would just drop out completely from the adoption community.

There are many different reasons that a disruption might happen.  Here is a recent post explaining disruptions/dissolutions in detail:  https://mineinchina.com/2015/06/15/adoption-dissolution-begin-with-the-end-in-mind/  .  I am very happy to see that not everyone is continuing to run away from the public eye after a disruption.  Disruptions happen.  Not all adoptions end in happily ever after...fact.

I will continue to advocate for adoptions AND for disrupted children who may need a new home.  I am grateful that I can relate to both ends of the spectrum, and use that to help other families.
